Description An original bentwood arm chair by Czech furniture designer Jindrich Halabala, circa 1950's, re-upholstered in an Ivory Belgian linen fabric. The eye-catching silhouette and comfortable shape has an enduring appeal. Influenced by Modern and Art Deco design, a deep upholstered seat upon angled wooden feet is framed by the dramatic curves of the bentwood armrests.
Jindrich Halabala had a huge influence on the European furniture market. A professor and architect, the design was produced in Central European furniture factories throughout the mid-20th Century.
